no no.. i'm not referring to that, but to learning and forgetting.
so, we have these 2 concepts of learning curve, and forgetting curve.
as somebody said, both depends on some objective and subjective characteristics of both what we want to learn and forget and of the way we are: how meaningful is what we are learning/forgetting? does it make any sense at all? how strong is our memory? everything contribute the expoent of the exponential curve. For the forgetting action, the curve depends also on the "implicit repetitions" effect, that is some unconscious recalling of the concept/thing/memory we want to forget, that comes back in our minds refreshing the memory of it, and here we go.. up the F-curve again.
but what happens when we learn the lesson? or we pretend we do..
does it help us to forget, and does in anyway affect our experience curve?
are these curves memoryless, or next time we will remember what we learnt out of forgetting the previous time?
wow.. that is indeed a no sense sentence.. :) .. ?
well, i don't know, wikipedia doesn't give this answer.. and i base all my knowledge on that..
i feel like following too many curves lately, i'd just like something simple and straight.
i know i would perhaps get bored on that after a while.
but please, first let me get to that point..
learning, forgetting and remembering again or just repeating again,
what a best example for this if not one of the best movie ever?
from "eternal sunshine of a spotless mind" , my sweet clementine..
Clementine: Joel, I'm not a concept. Too many guys think I'm a concept or I complete them or I'm going to make them alive, but I'm just a fucked up girl who is looking for my own peace of mind. Don't assign me yours.
- Joel: I remember that speech really well.
- Clementine: I had you pegged, didn't I?
- Joel: You had the whole human race pegged.
- Clementine: Probably.
- Joel: I still thought you were going to save me. Even after that.
- Clementine: I know.
